Halloween display goes down a treat in Aberdeen

A Spooktacular Halloween garden has attracted hundreds of children at Aberdeen’s largest shopping destination thanks to the Wonderworks.

The Lindley-based team was asked to design, manufacture and install the creative display, which has provided entertainment and photo opportunities for youngsters throughout the half-term period.

Creepy gravestones, a sculpted spider and witch’s hat all featured in the spooky garden, which was positioned on fake grass and surrounded by specially-designed Halloween prints and graphics all designed by the Wonderworks. The display also included two ball pits complete with spooky props as well as a sculpted cauldron and huge pumpkin for children to stand behind and have their photo taken.

Rob Curran, managing director of the Wonderworks said: “This project follows the success of our summer beach display at the same shopping centre. Our client asked us to create a design which would help draw shoppers to the space, keep children entertained and generate engagement on social media.

“The ball pits, props, bright colour scheme and photo opportunities combined to create a really effective display providing a fun environment for kids that proved a big hit for families shopping at the centre.”

After creating the Halloween garden design, the Wonderworks team brought it to life in its Huddersfield-based workshop, manufacturing the stand, props and graphics within just six weeks.
